Pleased to have completed my Christmas conversion project with these chaps.
They started life as Republican Roman Velites but I have pressed them into service as Ancient German light skirmish troops armed with javelins.
The main force is comprised of 6 x 12 stand warbands of mainly 60mm TSSD Barbarians. I have based one and have 5 more to go - will post pics in due course.
German Cavalry and Archers in the works plus Imperial Romans nearing completion.
Based on 70mm plastic card squares.
Most shields converted to add variety and increased authenticity.
Renedra 28mm Anglo-Saxon fences used for the wattle shields. (Bottom right - My dog also get's in on the act!)
