Only very rarely do I make tank kits so I thought Armourfast's 1/72 scale quick build M10s would be a good project for me to take on and so it proved. I can't face making tank kits with gluing on each wheel etc so these were ideal with so few parts to assemble.
The internet provided so much help on the M10 and tank painting in general it was easy to get these vehicles upto the wargaming standard I was after. Advice on colour, washing, weathering, chipping and turret contents etc was invaluable.
I even decided to have a go at filling the turrets - so cut up some 1/72 US figures and made shells out of cocktail sticks! They look ok from a distance so will do for me.
I must have been about 15 the last time I tried using decals but am glad I tried with the M10's as it boosted their final look no end.
